Adobe Creek Reservoir (aka Blue Lake) is a large, artificial lake that was made by the construction of a dam. The lake is situated at the border of Bent and Kiowa Counties, just 20 mi/32 km north of Las Animas, on County Road 10.

There are four boat launch ramps, two for high water level and two for low level water that are located on the northern portion of the lake. The lake’s normal elevation is 4128 ft (1258 m), but on dry weather it falls to 4122 ft (1256 m) and on rainy weather it reaches up to 4136 ft (1260 m). Temperature is ideal for your water-sport activities, as the average low is 20°F (-6.67°C) and the average high is 51°F (10.56°C). Water’s average precipitation is 0.43 in/1.10 cm.
