Torreira beach is part of a 25 km/15 mi expanse of infrangible sand. The dunes in combination with the Atlantic waters it seems to be a nice place for a break. But if you like the beach-break waves, then Torreira beach is the right place.
The sea has good waves and the right conditions for windsurfing. From September to April you can explore the big waves with swell sizes often around 6 ft/1.8 m but it can reach from 9 ft/2.7 m to 15 ft/4.5 m. Autumn and Winter tend to have strong winds, excellent for windsurf. During summer, the waves are more friendly to you with swell size around 4 ft/1.2 m and weak offshore winds (17%). There are windsurfing schools close to the spot, for all kind of windsurfers. In Torreira, there are lots of accommodation and other activities to do,when you are not letting yourself to go with the wind flow.
