Lausanne is the capital city of the Canton of Vaud and is situated in Romandy, the French speaking part of Switzerland, right on the shores of Lake Geneva. The clean water, the lack of currents, the sandy with rocks bottom and the no tide dependency are the main assets of the spot. Best season to wind surf in Yvonand Lake is from August to October. It is a very popular beach so it can get very crowded every day.
