After a very successful event in the Netherlands, it's finally time for Belgium to experience the City Mountainbike 2016 race. The event will take place in two cities in Belgium, on the weekend of 24 and 25 of September in Antwerpen and Waregem respectively.
The City Mountainbike event is really a race for everyone! As long as you own or even can borrow a bike, then you can join in! Kids get to race for free, whereas registration fees are super budget-friendly at 20 euro per person.
Some information for the categories available:
- KIDS : kids initiation
- Citizen race: for all mountainbikers without permit (born in 2001 or before)
- Shorttrack: for all mountainbikers – Ladies, Beginners, Masters, Fun, with valid race permit
- UCI Eliminator –for competitors with a valid race permit with which they can participate in MTB races.
Cyclists from across a variety of cycling level of expertise gather to race at City Mountainbike, as this is an event aiming at bringing the fun of mountainbike racing in the heart of the city.

The organizers of the Cross Country Eliminator (XCE) races are trying to add more events to the Women XCE calendar, in an effort to promote women’s cycling, so as from this year the City Mountainbike includes a UCI competition for women too.
