Countdown for the City Mountain Bike UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup 2017 has already begun and and the first event kicks-off in Volterra, Italy on Friday May 5th to Saturday May 6th.
The two days event of City Mountain Bike is definitely a race for everyone and starts on Friday, in ‘Piazza dei Priori’, Volterra. The race starts and ends in the same spot and the route leads riders around the historic city center including the Battistero di San Giovanni Battista and Palazzo dei Priori.
Race types include the following:
- KIDS: 15 minutes’ Kids race (initiation!)
- Citizen Race: for all mountainbikers with or without licence born in 2002 or before and residing in the city or province where the race is organised (day permission from year of birth 2002 and before)
- Shorttrack Race: for all cyclists with a minimum age of 17 with a valid race licence
- UCI MTB Eliminator WorldCup (XCE) – for racers with a valid race licence for participation in MTB races. Women and Men.

After the Friday race, participants and organizers will gather in ‘Piazza dei Priori’ square for music, drinks and buffet food while on Saturday after the finals, closing party will take place in Orteria Fornelli, a great place alongside the course.
