Brace brace! Mark the dates and get ready for take off! On Friday 11 and Saturday 12 of March 2016, the Buochs airport (Nidwalden) in Switzerland welcomes the 8th Hill Jam. Freeskiers and snowboarders from Switzerland and from all over Europe will be dragging all eyes on them, performing their spectacular air acrobatics and tricks, while launching off the 20m high ramp in a freestyle show-down of the finest!
The freestyle action officially starts on Saturday, 12th of March with the Big Air Contest. The Hill Jam 8 event is officially part of the Swiss Freeski Tour and the Audi Snowboard Series. This is the exact reason that attracts all the elite riders from all over Europe, who will be competing in a show down for their pride and the big trophy money, about CHF 2000 in each category and a total of all prizes reaching CHF 20000.
Running parallel to the contest, there will be a skate park with ramps and rails for all skaters who want to take their boards for a ride. The park will be free to use and cool prizes await for the best tricks. Many already established brands, as well as promising start-up companies will be promoting their products on site, with lots of gadgets up for grabs in competitions held there. Two bouncing castles will also be set up for the junior freestylers who will happen to be there, whilst drinks, food and coffee will available for sale at the various bars and coffee shop on the site.
The 8th Hill Jam will close with a big after-party with lots of music from the DJs until the early hours! Only the lucky ones who are 18 years old and above will be able to enter the after party.
Tickets for the pre-event concert night, as well as for the after-party will be available for sale the weeks preceding the event.
