Returning to Athens for the second time on September 13th, Legion Run is preparing a whole new experience than the one last year, that is going to be bigger, better and wetter as it is taking place in Alykes Anavyssou with the support of Saronikos Municipality.
For those who have not heard it, Legion Run is a unique mud run event that offers participants an endless fun 5 km / 3.10 mi run/walk through world class obstacles such as barbered wire, fire, ice and loads of mud and at the same time, due to its not competitive nature, it is open for all levels of physical fitness and ability.
Obstacles are designed and placed in such way that will definitely challenge runners bodies and mind as they have to jump over fire, crawl through mud, climb walls and dive into tanks with iced water. Teams are encouraged to work together and help each other throughout the event in order to reach the finish line.
Waves of runners will start every 15 mins from 10:00, 10:15, 10:30, 10:45, 11:00, 11:15, 11:30, 11:45, 12:00, 12:15, 12:30, 12:45, 13:00 and for those with a more competitive nature, the first wave of the day is the one to register. All participants win a free beer, an exclusive “I am Legion” t-shirt and some bruises while for those who want to see what Legion Run is all about, you can watch the event for only €5 per person. Entrance is free for children under 12 years old.
So prepare yourself for an ultra exciting obstacle run and once you cross the finish line, you can celebrate with your friends and family as there will be lots of music and food to relax and party.
