Alternative Expedition Switzerland, Lucerne – Ginebra
Known for its spectacular sceneries, amazing turquoise lakes and high mountains, Switzerland is among the top destinations in the world for the adventure traveler.
On September 4 to 6, The National Watersports Festival (NWF) will host more than 500 competitors from the windsurfing, SUP, kayaking and kitesurfing community for a 3 day, back to back action event with lots of parties, food, trade shows, tester sessions in all sports, camping and clinics.
Windsurfing: Coordinated by the United Kingdom Windsurfing Association (UKWA), the windsurfing competition includes 2 main fleets. The National Fleet – for sailors who have competed in a National Level- and the Freeride fleet – for those who have never competed in a National Level. SUP: Providing many trade stands, demo equipment and series of clinics conducted by coaches who will explain how to get the best from this fast growing sport, the NWF SUP sessions will be in a 2 day format that includes battle of the paddle and the survivor elimination rounds in order to qualify for the Saturday night survivor. Kitesurfing: With a vast array of equipment, various clinics and kite demonstrations from the team riders and professionals alike, where they will be showing off their skills in various disciplines. Check out more info on the schedule, here.
Kayak: Coordinated and delivered by Portsmouth Watersports Centre (PWC), Kayak tester sessions will be available on Fri/Sat & Sun priced at £20 with instruction.
