In Thun, central-west Switzerland, one of the most prestigious Silver events of the Free ride Mountain Bike (FMB) competitions is going to take place on May 2015 for the sixth consecutive year.
Since 2011 the Swatch Rocket Air, official stop for the FMB world-tour, gathers high classed riders from over 15 nations, in a two-day event full of emotions, adrenaline and fun! In Thun, the hostess town, all volunteers and the Flying Metal Crew are making an amazing job trying every year to present something new and improve the whole event.
For this year, riders will perform their tricks while jumping over old cars and an airplane in the “junkyard” theme, while before the slopestyle final on Friday, each nation will compete in the Teambattle.
Along the action in the ice rink, there will also be many fun side events. In the Like-a-Bike race, 2-5 year old kids can try to make their rounds while grownups can compete on the Flying Metal Mobile Pumptrack. As the riders show their spins and flips inside, the showtime Wallscrapers will perform their tricks without any bikes. From a trampoline they’ll jump onto a wooden wall to put on what is sure to be an amazing show.
