The Wasatch Mountain Film Festival's second is about to set off on the 31st of March, 2016. For the duration of 10 days, the people leaving around the area of the Wasatch Front, as well as people from allover the world who share a connective bond with the Wasatch Mountains, will have the chance to enjoy a series of adventure documentaries, environmental and more.
The hosts and organizers of the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival seek to ultimately raise questions about how human interact with their environment, so alongside the film screenings, spectators will have the opportunity to attend a series of interactive panel talks, presentations, outdoor programming and free community events.
A total of 34 films will be showcased, 13 of which premieres. Six different venues around the area will be opening their doors to the films and viewers. Park City, the University of Utah, Brewvies, Jordan Commons, and the South Towne Expo Center are some of the festival venues. Of the six awards given at the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival, the crowd has a voice too! The People’s Choice Award will go to the crowd’s favorite. Other categories include Cinematography, Environmental Awareness, Rising Photographer, as well as the Mallory Award, going to an outstanding individual featured in a film and the Shane McConkey Award going to the best adventure short film.
