Berlin is the capital city of Germany and one of the 16 states in Germany. It is the largest city and second most popular in Germany and ninth most popular in the European Union. It is situated on the River Spree in northeastern Germany and is the center of the Berlin – Brandenburg Metropolitan Region. Berlin is a world city of politics, media, culture, science and of course sports!
For air sport enthusiasts, the greater Berlin area is a skydiving heaven. If you want to try something unique, except skydiving, Canopy Piloting is being practiced at the Ruppiner Land airport, at 69 km/42 mi in the northwest of Berlin. You will still jump off a plane and fly with a parachute, but this time you will have to control it, aim right at the pond and then walk with the gigantic canopy on measured land.
Canopy Piloting or else swooping is more than adventurous pond surfing with 100 kph (62 mph). It is covered with full range of safe flying and flaring to sporty swoop. At the landing point there is a pond of 10 x 75 m (32.9 x 246 ft) large and 1 m (3 ft) deep. The Canopy Piloting experience is available for all levels.
