Berlin is the capital city of Germany and one of the 16 states in Germany. It is the largest city and second most popular in Germany and ninth most popular in the European Union. It is situated on the River Spree in northeastern Germany and is the center of the Berlin – Brandenburg Metropolitan Region. Berlin is a world city of politics, media, culture, science and of course sports!

Dragon Mountain is located near the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. Emerged from the rubble of World War II, it has a height of 60 m/196 ft. The spot is ideal for many air sports and especially paragliding. It is a good nursery slope and training ground, which is officially approved by the DHV for hang gliders and kites.

There are two places that are good for paragliding; one to the west and one to the south. Both sides have a landing place. The southern landing site looks smaller than it is, but the area is completely sufficient for a clean landing. When strong winds come from the south, a flight should be avoided, because it goes straight to leeward.

The altitude valley town is 34 m (111.6 ft) and the altitude difference is 26 m (85.3 ft). GPS coordinates of the mountain are 52 ° 30 ‘0” N, 13 ° 15’ 0” E. You will fly at about 762 m (2500 ft). The spot is an excellent soaring slope. Anyone who can soar here will have no problem on other hills or slopes.

Admire the magnificent view of the Berlin – Grunewald valley. After some handling of the huge parachute, you will gently land in one of the two areas. Flight operations are possible only by arrangement, so don’t forget to call first.
