Treble Cone, Wanaka
Wanaka is a small town in Central Otago in the South Island of New Zealand, situated on the south side of Lake Wanaka.
The location is well-known to paragliding lovers, as many paragliding events and Panhellenic games have been held here. The spot is approximately one hour away from the city of Agrinio. Once you reach the site, you will be surprised by the green valley, the mountains, the wooded slopes and the deep gorge. Can you even imagine the beauty of the region from high above?
The take off is in Kalana, at an altitude of 694 m/2276 ft above sea level and the take off point is found at 39°0’12” (39.0035)N; 21°19’48” (21.3302)E. In addition, the landing point is found at 39°0’38” (39.0107)N; 21°18’44” (21.3123)E. It should be noted that, Inahos municipality has offered a large area exclusively for landing area. Furthermore, Embesos welcomes pilots of all experience levels. It is a thermal site that takes wind directions from the west and northwest.
