Castleton is a beautiful village in the Derbyshire Peak District, about an hour drive from Manchester. The village nestles between the Dark Peak and the White Peak. Lords Seat is the highest point of the ridge in the Derbyshire Peak District of England. It is a 546 m/1.791 ft hill, that forms the natural barrier between the Edale and Hope valleys.

In addition, the landing point is found at 53°21’10” (53.353)N; 1°49’51” (1.831)W, at an elevation of 315 m/1033 ft. The optimum wind direction is from the north. Once in the air, you can glide around for a long time and admire the panoramic view of the picturesque village and the valley.
The location attracts visitors at any time of the year, but the best periods are during spring and summer months. Keep in mind that, Lords Seat is suitable for advanced pilots.
