Santa Clara is situated in the central region of the island and is the capital city of the province of Villa Clara. The city boasts a monument, mausoleum and museum in honor of Ernesto Che Guevara, as here took place the final battle of the revolution in 1958. The take off altitude is at 332 m/1088 ft above sea level and the take off point is found at 22°15’25” (22.2571)N; 79°49’13” (79.8204)W. The landing point is found at 22°14’23” (22.24)N; 79°47’24” (79.79)W, at an elevation of 193 m/633 ft.
In addition, the best time to visit the site is during spring and early summer months. It is not recommended to fly over the city, you should better follow the highway. Last but not least, Santa Clara is suitable for more experienced pilots!
