Rishikesh is a small town situated in northern India, in the state of Uttarakhand, in the foothills of the great Himalayas. Widely known as The Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas, as well as The World Capital of Yoga, Rishikesh has been since the 60's, a favorite destination for both spirituality and adventure seekers.
Located only a few miles away from the main town of Rishikesh, Mohanchatti is a quiet countryside area, nestled on the banks of Hyule River, at a height of 1600 ft/487.6 m above sea level and is considered to be one of the top five adventure destinations in India.
Surrounded by incredible forested landscapes and close to the Rajaji National Park, home to unique wild life species, as well as the eternal Hyule mountain stream, this spot is a wonderland for nature enthusiasts and hosts India’s first and only fixed bungee platform.
Reaching a height of 272.3 ft/83 m, the cantilever platform is built on a rocky hill, which overlooks the river. Once you are tied with the rubber chord and jump, you will be free falling at a speed of up to 124.2 mph/200 kph. After the jump, the bungee crew lowers the rope down to the drop zone by the river, where you can rest and think about what you just did, or even go for another round!
However, there is more to it for those who just can’t get enough. Visitors can combine bungee with the giant swing activity performed on the same platform. Once you jump off and when the free fall is completed, you can freely swing like a pendulum and enjoy the amazing views with a friend or by your self.
Suitable for all skill levels, this is a truly high adrenaline experience and can be practiced all year round. The bungee jump site is operating under the supervision of a highly experienced bungee crew from New Zealand and fits all the safety requirements. If you are looking for an exhilarating experience in the Himalayas, then this is the one!!
