Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.
Camas Creek Road is located in half an hour away from Wenatchee Town. It is 14.7 mi/23 km long, (loop trail), about one hour drive, with minimal elevation gain, suitable for all skill levels. It is an easy and convenient trail because it begins and ends on US-97.
You will drive on high ridges and through deep canyons with lush dark forests, amazing nature and views of the peaks of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The road is in good condition and ranges from asphalt to narrow and steep canyon side tracks with blind turns. Don’t forget to take with you a map and a compass or a GPS.
