Stormy Mountain Road is located in one hour away from Wetchanee Town, between Lake Wetchanee and Columbia River. It is 36 mi/57 km long, (point to point), with minimal elevation gain, suitable for all skill levels. However, after the 4000 ft/1219 m, the route is narrow with long drop-offs.
You may also come across large rocks and washouts. As you drive along the mountain ridge, you will have the opportunity to admire amazing views of the Cascade Mountains and Lake Chelan. Don’t forget to take a map and a compass or a GPSÂ with you.
