Lafayette is situated in southwestern Louisiana, USA, along the Vermilion River. It was founded in 1821 and it is the fourth largest city in the state. The city is also known as the center of Cajun culture, not only in Louisiana but also in the entire US.
Near Lafayette lies one of the most awesome and extremely popular MX tracks facility, the Frog Capital MX. The tracks are urban/man-made and professionally built. The terrain consists of a national style track about 1 mi/1.6 km long and a peewee track perfect for amateurs.
Both tracks stand at an elevation of 20 to 30 ft/6 to 9.1 m and feature loose dirt at most parts, some trees, many small jumps, some large jumps and a lot of berms. The terrain is mostly made for amateurs and less experts, but if you decide to run it you will have a blast!
At times, events are organized like motocross races and whether you are just a spectator or participant, the view and action are thrilling and dynamic. If you have no idea how to ride this cool dirt bike, there are lessons offered by the owners paid per hour. Both tracks are public and in the tadpole track, one of the tracks, there is a minimum engine size of 50 cc and a maximum of 65 cc.
If you have a noisy dirt bike, check whether you overcome 98 db, which is the maximum noise allowed. If you want to practice, check the website for the practice schedule and newest updates for the tracks or events.
