Savannah is the county seat of Chatham County and the oldest city in Georgia, USA. The city was established in 1733, becoming the colonial capital of the Georgia Province and later on the first capital of Georgia. Today, Savannah is a strategic port city, industrial center and a very important Atlantic seaport. The Hostess City of the South, as Savannah is known between locals, is the fifth largest city in Georgia and situated on the Savannah River, from whom it was named after, at about 20 mi / 32 km upriver from the Atlantic Ocean.
Jesup is a small city near Savannah with great off – road activity. Generally in Georgia, off – road parks are very popular and spread around the state. One particular park, H&H ATV Ride Park that lies in Jesup, is suitable for many dirt sports, but one of them sets apart and that is motocross.
The huge 40 ac/0.16 km² park is opened daily, all year round and offers many things, from simple trails for novices to mud bogs, hills climbs and drag racing. The park is in the forest, so the shade is plenty and lies at an elevation of 50 to 70 ft/15.2 to 21.3 m.
The features of the park are the ones that make it so popular. Every off – road park that respects itself should have that kind of features. Loose dirt, sand, rocks, hard pack, steep hills, mud, water crossings, dust, small jumps and of course a lot of trees. Hazards are few and assumed to be marked, but still ride your motocross with caution.
Camping at the site is permitted and you will find available RV Hookups and primitive sites. The park has many amenities, such as restroom facilities, picnic tables and spray wash. Swimming is allowed and you will also come across a nature walk. The area has a camping fee and a fee per rider, but entrance and parking are free.
