Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's apple cultivations.
Elk Heights Snow Park is located about an hour away, southern from Wenatchee. The snowmobile routes have an elevation gain of 2350 ft/716 m and parking space for 30 cars.
The Snow park offers a trail system of 91 mi/146 km with sanitary facilities and amazing view points along the way. The view from the mountain is breathtaking as soon as you get higher and higher. You drive through alpine scenery with huge pine trees and fun powder snow.
During winder season, there is a Sno-Park permit required, which you can get from the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. Drivers should take water and snacks with them and be careful of the working crews that may be on the trails during the day to clear drifts or debris.
