Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's apple cultivations.

There are no sanitary facilities along the way . The view from the mountain is breathtaking as soon as you go higher and higher. You drive through alpine scenery with huge pine trees and powder snow.
During winder season, there is a Sno-Park permit required, which you can get from the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. Drivers should take water and snacks with them and be careful of the work crews that may be on the trails during the day to clear drifts or debris.
