Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's apple cultivations.
Dusty Lake is part of the Quincy Wildlife Recreation Area, one hour away from Wenatchee Town. The whole area is considered to be an ecological treasure. There are many lakes in that desert looking terrain, also called Ancient Lakes, where you can hike around, with unique and unusual ecosystems to admire.
While hiking along the old jeep trail, continue southeast towards Dusty Lake. Once you reach the lake, the amazing beauty of the high wall of the canyon and the crystal clear waters will take your breath away. You can hike this trail all year round. However if you visit during summer, the lake is suitable for swimming. Dusty Lake is an amazing hike for nature enthusiasts, suitable for all skill levels.
