North West is a province in the northern part of South Africa, on the Botswana border and fringed by Kalahari desert to the west, Gauteng province to the east and Free State to the South. Home to the Sun City, it attracts both locals and tourists all year round and has a great deal to offer. It is peaceful and offers a sunny climate all year through, making for a most rewarding holiday experience.
Berakah mountain biking trail is extremely rugged and accommodates the intermediate rider. It varies in degrees of difficulty, passing through open savannah, bushveld and mountains and is situated in the Bergland Dome. Due to the topography, its has hosted a number of MTB races and one cannot afford to miss this adventure.
To attempt this trail you need to have a considerable amount of will power as your riding skills will definitely be put into test. The route is a circular one with distances ranging between 6-12 km/4-8 mi long with the duration lasting between 1-2 hours, depending on the choice of route. The terrain here comprises of dongas, steep jeep tracks and log bridges and is not suitable for children.
