The Overberg is a region of immense beauty and characterized by amazing and diverse landscapes. It forms part of the Western Cape as it stretches from the Hottentos-Holland Mountains in the north while in the southern, the Atlantic and Indian Ocean break on to sandy beaches and rocky headlands. The spot enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm dry summers and cool wet winters.

Lebanon Forest offers a stunning mountain biking experience. Riding here ranges from scenic rides to tackling some technical climbs on single tracks. The rolling orchards, forested pine ridges and mountain fynbos are just exhilarating as you enjoy breathtaking views of the Elgin Valley and its surroundings.

Graded as moderate to hard, it is a circular route with a distance, ranging between 10-30 km/6.2-18 mi. The route is color coded and the terrain consists of mainly wide gravel roads, jeep tracks and a great number of single tracks. The climbs can get up at 440 m/1443 ft. Riding here is an all year round activity although it can be mired during winter.
