Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.

Givlers Dome is located high on the Icicle Creek Canyon, outside Leavenworth Town. In order to approach this fantastic climb, you need to walk about 45 min to reach the base, from the trail that follows a ledge system until the base of the route.

It is a very popular site for crack climbing with three different routes to climb. The crag’s top elevation is at 1750 ft/533 m and is suitable for climbing, from April to October. The skill level required for this climb is grade I, class 5,10+. The first pitch has a fat short crack, easy to follow until you reach a big flake.

The second pitch has more technical difficulties, with straight hand jams all the way up. The third pitch is very easy, suitable for beginners because as you follow the crack to the top, the angle eases a lot. Gilvers Dome is a great place for all skill levels rock climbers to practise their skills. You will need quick-draws, a 196 ft/60 m rope and slings with you.
