Alp 2500 is a complex of ski resorts in La Cerdanya, Catalonia, in the Pyrenees mountains of northeastern Spain. It includes the two towns of La Molina and Masella, whose two respective ski areas are joined to form Alp 2500.
La Molina is a ski resort in the municipality of Alp in Girona. The temperature is about 1 to 17°C/33.80 to 62.60°F throughout the year, with February being the coldest and August the warmest month. In total, there are 16 lifts like cable cars, chair, baby and drag lifts.
The first lift is at 1700 m/5577 ft and the top lift at 2445 m/8021 ft. The vertical drop is 875 m/2870 ft with 40 km/25 mi of total ride area. The artificial snow making coverage is at 42 %. Many championships take place here, like the fourth round of the 2012 European Snow Shoeing Cup.
La Molina has two marked paths, depending on the difficulty and distance. An easy for beginners path to give it a shot is the Prat Agre, passing by the lakes and the 4×4 test circuit. For the most experienced ones, there is the difficult long Clot de l’ Hospital path. It starts at Alabaus, passing by the snow-park, and through the forest or the outer slope, ending at 37 – Panoramica viewpoint.
