Alp 2500 is a complex of ski resorts in La Cerdanya, Catalonia, in the Pyrenees mountains of northeastern Spain. It includes the two towns of La Molina and Masella, whose two respective ski areas united form Alp 2500.
Masella is a ski resort in the Pyrenees mountains, belonging to Alp’s municipality, in Girona. It lies on La Tossa d’Alp mountain. The temperature varies from 1 to 15°C/33.80 to 59°F throughout the year. With 457 snow cannons, it’s open for winter sports for about five months per season.The forest extends along at 80% of its pistes and 90% at the face north. It provides 74 km/46 mi of usable terrain. Lowest altitude is at 1600 m/5249 ft at Pla de Masella, with a maximum height of 2535 m/8316 ft at La Tosa.
You can snow shoeing inside Masella ski resort to the top (Tosa ‘ Alp), or you can follow the trail to La Molina. There are many trails outside the resort, most of them are from easy to moderate.
Visit the trails to El Serrat, Masovera and Coma Oriola. There are also organized excursions with clubs and training schools. You can move in the area by using 5 chairlifts, 7 draglifts, 2 rope tows and 4 transporting tapes. You can also find plenty of services like children facilities, medical support, lockers and cafes.
