Metallica to perform at X Games Austin 2015

This years X Games event won’t be the same. Reknowned extreme athletes will be performing their tricks while Metallica will be headlining this action packed weekend at Circuit of the Americas during the X Games taking place in Austin, Texas on June 4th to 7th, 2015.

A remix of Metallica’s “Lords of Summer” have been also released by the X Games performers the Glitch Mob and has been named the event’s official anthem. The heavy metal act will be joined also by Nicki Minaj as Super Stage headliners at this year’s event. Talib Kweli, Kid Ink, Pennywise, Deltron 3030, Joywave and the Glitch Mob will also perform at the extreme sports event.

“When athletes are already really good and the music takes them to another place, you can’t explain that,” says singer James Hetfield.
