Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.
Joe Miller Loop route starts from Malaga Road as a round trip, on the South side of Wenatchee Town. It is 23 mi/37 km long, (loop ride), with an elevation gain of 1900 ft/579 m. The difficulty level of this ride, is in category one, not suitable for beginners.
The average gradient of the terrain is 7% and the maximum 15%. The road goes mostly uphill and it is well traveled by cars, so cyclists should be careful. It is a wonderful loop ride, with some technical difficulties and a good physical condition is required.
You will ride through an open space, curvy mountain road that will take you around apple tree cultivations and farms with some nice views of the mountains around. Joe Miller Loop is a great ride for bicycle enthusiasts to escape the city and take a deep, refreshing breath of fresh, clean mountain air. Don’t forget to take with you water.
