Between Himalayan giants Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau, lies the legendary kingdom of Mustang. Mustang is the former Kingdom of Lo, where Tibetan is still spoken. The Upper Mustang comprises the northern two-thirds of Mustang District of Dhaulagiri Zone.

The Kali Gandaki River is the principal river system in Nepal and the main tributary river of the great Ganges in India. The Gandaki River crosses the Nepali land from Tibet to India throughout the imposing peaks of Annapurna and Dhawalagiri massifs, creating some of the best conditions for white water kayaking worldwide.
The Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, located in the mid-hill region of the country and only at few kilometers in the southwest of Kathmandu. The spot is named after the Shivapuri Peak of 2732 m /8963 ft altitude, covering an area of 159 km² (61 mi²) in the districts of Kathmandu, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk. The Shivapuri Park represents a great destination for climbers due to its crack limestone origin of its cliffs and the many climbing routes.
Manaslu range, the ‘’spirit mountain’’, situated in the western Nepal on the border line between Nepal and Tibet, covers a 1663 km²/ 642 mi² area in the Mansiri Himal range of the Himalayas in the Gorkha District, Nepal. The conservation area starts at 600 m/1968 ft above sea level while Manaslu mountain at 8613 m/28257 ft altitude is listed in the eighth position among the highest mountain peaks worldwide.
Alongside the Annapurna Range, between Mustang Himal and Manaslu Himal, lies the picturesque town of Pokhara.
