Lee Valley White Water Centre is located just north of London and it is the host venue to the 2012 London Olympic Canoe Slalom events. If you want to experience the adventure of the Olympic drops, holes, rapids and eddies, then you should visit this place and perform white water kayaking. The center offers two courses to choose from, according to your wishes.

The first one is the 300 m/984 ft Olympic Standard Competition course with a drop of 5.5 m/18.04 ft from the start pool to the finish, and the second course is a 160 m/524 ft Legacy Loop with a drop of 1.6 m/5.24 ft from the start pool to the lake. With grades that range between three and four, this spot is appropriate for paddlers with a prior experience and a reasonable level of fitness.

Keep in mind that, you should complete a short assessment, in order to become a member of the center and have the opportunity to paddle in the lake. Furthermore, if you are a beginner, there are qualified instructors at your disposal to teach you the basics of kayaking. Finally, the site provides with all the necessary equipment and offers a variety of facilities, including free parking.
