Cortina d’ Ampezzo, the most famous snow resort in the Dolomites mountain chain, can offer you the unique opportunity to practice and admire a real sailing experience in the heart of the Alps, during the summer season. Since 2006, the first yachting mountain club in Italy and the second in the world operates here.

With crystal clear water lakes, reflected in all the Dolomites countryside, Cortina can satisfy the fans of sailing, combining the deep green of the alpine landscape with the crystal white of its uncontaminated lakes. The Molveno Lake, the Laces and the Caldonazzo Lake offer a very interesting alternative option for an alpine resort, due to their very modern and sophisticated facilities.

Moreover, many water sport, regional events and local competitions are held every year in Molveno Lake, usually promoted by the sailing club of the area. The sailing club of Trentino is very active as well organizing events and races with participants from all over the Europe, such as the German Open Cup which held every June.
