Palm Beach is a beach-side suburb in northern Sydney, at about 41 km/25 mi in the north of Sydney's CBD (Central Business District). It is considered to be the jewel of Sydney's northern peninsula, that offers a plethora of activities, such as surfing, fishing, diving and sailing. A beautiful beach holiday location that provides with many accommodation options, stylish cafes and good restaurants.
Sailing is one of many activities that visitors can choose from. Palm Beach hosts several options of training schools, offering courses and lessons for beginners and for more experienced sailors, who want to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area from water.
The best periods are in spring and autumn when the weather is not too hot (20-25°C / 68-77°F) and it is not too crowded. Due to its short wavelengths and warm waters sailors are able to sail in almost all wind directions.
You can get involved as much as you like. You can help sail the boat or hire a captain. Last but not least, you should have some water to drink, a hat and a change of clothes.
