Kailua Kona is located in the North Kona District, Hawaii. It is a lively seaside town with sunny tropical weather all year long and lies at the bottom of the Hualalai Volcano.
The town hosts many interesting historical sites and is famous for its Kona Coffee cultivations and the crystal clear sea. Kona International Airport is located at fifteen minutes away in the south of the main town. Along the sea side, there are shops and schools to buy or rent diving gear as well as take lessons if you are a beginner.
Pentagon spot is ideal for beginners. It offers an average depth of 10 m/32.8 ft and maximum depth 15.2 m/50 ft with low sea current and excellent visibility. The biodiversity of the bottom is very interesting because except from the sea turtles, tropical fish, eels and corals, there is a series of lava formations and small caverns.
