The Illes Medes (in Catalan) or Ilsas Medas (in Spanish) is a wonderful small group of seven islets in the northwest Mediterranean Sea. They are situated east of the coastal town of L'Estartit.

You just book your activity in one of these schools and start to imagine yourself diving in the famous spot of Tunel del Dofi (Dolphin’s Cave). It is located on the east coast of Meda Petita. At this spot you will find two tunnels, small caves and rich nature life. The spot is quite lighted, as there are two entrances.
The focal point of this spot is the statute of dolphin, which can be seen at the depth of 12 m / 39 ft. As mentioned before, there are two tunnels on spot, the first one is advised to beginner divers, while the second one, which is darker and deeper, is ideal for intermediate divers.
Groupers, invertebrates, crabs, congers, prawns, lobster, spiny lobster, violescent sea-whip (gorgonian) and red coral are only some of the creatures that you will admire during your activity. Furthermore, the underwater visibility is between 5-30 m / 16-98 ft. The most appropriate season to visit this place is from April-October.
