Erlichsee is located in Oberhausen – Rheinhausen nestled between Mannheim and Karlsruhe. Erlichsee is a leisure center at about few hundred meters away from the B36.
The center offers camping and new and very sanitary facilities. It is a recreational center where many sports are taking place. One of the most popular sports in Erlichsee is snorkeling.
It is a very easy to find spot with instant access right on the shore. The average depth is at 15 m (49.2 ft) and it reaches to a maximum depth of 22 m (72.2 ft). There is no current and the type of the dive is fresh water. The dive site quality is good and it is perfect for all kind of snorkelers experienced or not.
While you snorkel you will be amazed by the variety of fishes and the breathtaking beauty of the red huge craw-fishes. Above the sight is 3 – 5 m (9 – 16 ft).
Moonta Bay and Port Hughes are close neighboring spots for snorkeling. Sandy beaches and crystal blue waters, beach-side cafes and historic jetties make this location the ideal destination for snorkeling fans. The spot is ideal for beginners and advanced fans of snorkeling.
